Regatta season is fast approaching. We have 2 weeks until the first one.
This year, the Juniors have nine racers going to Kitten Cup at the end of April! Thanks for letting us wash your dirty cars to assist with our trip. After Kitten Cup we are heading over to Royal Victoria Yacht Club for Spring Dinghies , May 2-3. There will be three 420’s, two Opti’s, and one Laser all heading over to Vancouver on Friday the 23rd. We are getting really excited about it. Erin Flanagan came down and coached our team last Saturday. As most of you know, Erin is our Head Learn to Sail Instructor .
The small boats officer is doing a great job in creating smooth and shiny racing hulls. Thanks Barry, they look great!
Our Learn to Sail program is gearing up for a busy summer. We are looking for some of our new members to come down and take an adult sailing course. Bring a friend (or two). It’s really a lot of fun! Some of our juniors are instructors and love to share their expertise.
After a course in an Opti or a 420, many of the kids join up with our race team. We sail in all sorts of weather at all times of the year. We welcome all from the community and the military to come out and have fun while meeting new people and making new friends.
