Repair work continuing on our dingy fleet , progress is slow due to limited time and space.  Anyone wishing to use the dingy shed please co-ordinate with me as the space is very small.  Do not leave any paints, thinners or oils in the shed and if you use the vacuum to clean up on the foreshore, empty it.

Regarding the ongoing saga with the safety/work boats #1 and #2, there is fuel getting into the crankcase oil.  We have checked the fuel pumps and thermostats as recommended to see if this corrects this problem.  Apparantly these motors need to be run hot.  That said anyone using these boats are asked to run them at or near full for 5-10 minutes after starting and to keep idling to a minimum, eg towing boats around marina, sail training,  race committee, etc.  After idling, run the boat hard for a few minutes before shutting down.   Hopefully this problem can be solved soon.   Thanks to Will Nesling for checking and changing the oil regularly.

Cheers,

Barry
